Amidst the Covid-19 Pandemic, Project Baktin continues
On January 5, 2021 around 3:00PM, PMAJ TESSIEL R MOLETA, Provincial Community Affairs and Development (PCAD) Officer together with Ms Jane B Altres, Day Care teacher and project coordinator distributed 2 piglets through the Surigao del Norte PPO identified Best Practice dubbed as Project Baktin (Piglet Dispersal).
The recent beneficiaries of this year's long best practice were Teresita and Michelle Garrido both residents of Purok 3, Brgy Bonifacio, Surigao City.
The program aims to help selected recipients of their livelihood especially these trying times brought by Covid-19 crisis. It is also a pro-active approach to win the hearts and minds of the community through self-policing against criminality and terrorism.
During the said activity, giving of IEC materials on anti-criminality and anti-terrorism leaflets and a short dialogue to the residents of the said place.
