Inauguration of Molecular Laboratory

Blessing and Inauguration of the Philippine National Red Cross Molecular Laboratory, Surigao City
SDN PPO, Provincial Director PCOL NOEL C ESPINOZA attended the blessing and inauguration of PRC Molecular Laboratory at Brgy. Bonifacio, Surigao City, January 13.
Surigao Bishop Antonieto Cabahug, D.D. led the blessing rites with PRC Chairman Sen Richard Gordon, DOH Caraga Regional Director Jose Llacuna, Jr., Surigao City Mayor Ernesto Matugas, Jr., Vice Gov. Geed Gokiangkee, Cong. Bingo Matugas, Jr., PRC Secretary General Elizabeth S. Zavalla, officers of the mining firms, and representatives from other government agencies are also present.
The establishment of the laboratory was made possible through the joint efforts of the city government and its partners ( the mining companies). This will help quick detection and testing of the virus that can approximately run 2,000 tests a day. Thus, this will not only benefit the locals but the entire region as well.
As Sen. Richard Gordon delivers his message, to unite the community you must always have the common goal...towards progress and development. He is in hopes that over 1 million Surigaonons will be vaccinated. With the 42 laboratory machines we can test any kind of disease, he added.
