Apprehension of Wanted Person

SURIGAO DEL NORTE POLICE PROVINCIAL OFFICE

Personnel of Sison Municipal Police Station arrested Pedro Amigo Salvador Jr., 42 years old, married, farmer; Romeo Amigo Salvador, 44 years old, married, farmer, and both residents of Purok 4, Brgy. Mayag Sison Surigao del Norte on February 18, 2020 around 10:50AM and on February 18, 2020 at about 1:17PM, Rolando Acierto Llano, 40 years old, married, farmer, and a resident of Purok 4, Brgy. Mayag Sison Surigao del Norte was arrested in the aforesaid place by virtue of Warrant of Arrest dated February 13, 2020 issued by Presiding Judge Hon. Leonila P. Gorgolon, RTC, 10th Judicial Region, Branch 30, Surigao City. Subject was informed of his rights under Miranda Warning and Anti-Torture Act during the arrest.

Arrested persons are wanted for Violation of Section 68 of PD 705 under criminal case number 14721 with recommended bail of Twenty Four Thousand Pesos (P24,000,00) each. Subjects are in the custody of Sison Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.

SURIGAO DEL NORTE POLICE PROVINCIAL OFFICE

Personnel of Surigao City Police Station, Subpoena/Warrant Section and Baybay City Police Station led by PLT JOHN ANTHONY SANCHEZ conducted joint operation on February 17, 2020 at about 2:20PM in Borromeo corner Amat St., Brgy Taft, Surigao City that resulted in the arrest of CATALINO BASAN CATORCE, a.k.a “Dondon”, Filipino, male, 57 years old, married, tricycle driver, and a resident of Purok 3, Sitio Cayutan, Brgy. Cagniog, Surigao City by virtue of Alias Warrant of Arrest charged for Attempted Murder docketed under Criminal Case No. B-17-11-186 dated February 26, 2018 issued by Hon. Carlos O. Arguelles, Presiding Judge of RTC, Branch 14, Baybay City, Leyte with a recommended bail of One Hundred Twenty Thousand Pesos (Php120,000.00).

The arresting Police Officers duly presented the aforesaid Alias Warrant of Arrest and informed his Constitutional Rights under the Miranda Doctrine and Anti-Torture Law. Subject accused is now under the custody of Surigao City Police Station for documentation and proper disposition.

Apprehension of Wanted Person

SURIGAO DEL NORTE POLICE PROVINCIAL OFFICE

Personnel of Placer Municipal Police Station received a cellular phone call from a concern citizen on February 17, 2020 around 10:20PM informing that an alleged rape incident transpired in Purok Ilang-ilang , Brgy. Magsaysay, Placer, Surigao del Norte.

Acted upon receipt, personnel of Placer Municipal Police Station proceeded to the reported place of incident. Thereat, the suspect later identified as FIDEL LABAD MARCHAN, 65 years old, male, married, and a resident of the aforesaid place. Upon interview with the suspect, he revealed that his previous address was in Tugas, Brgy Kiborias, Quezon, Bukidnon. Therefore, Placer Municipal Police Station exerted effort and coordinated with Quezon Municipal Police Station, Bukidnon to verify and conducted background investigation of the suspect. Upon there verification it was found out that said suspect had an Alias Warrant of Arrest somewhere in Bukidnon. Personnel of Placer Municipal Police Station with coordination from Quezon Municipal Police Station, Bukidnon served the said Alias Warrant of Arrest to the said suspect that led to his apprehension.

The arrested person is wanted for Murder under Criminal Case number 7489-95 with no bail recommended issued by Hon. Ronaldo S Venadas Sr., Acting Presiding Judge of RTC 10th Judicial Region, Branch 9, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon dated September 19, 2005. Said suspect was informed of his Constitutional Rights under the Miranda Doctrine and Anti-Torture Law and is now under custody of Placer Municipal Police Station for proper disposition and documentation.

Personnel of Surigao City Police Station, Subpoena/Warrant Section led by PCMS Jan Andro E. Cagas, arrested ANGELO CLOR BECERRO, a.k.a “Loloy”, Filipino, male, 40 years old, married, carpenter, and a resident of Purok-5, Brgy Day-asan, Surigao City on February 17, 2020 at about 11:15AM in Capitol Compound, Brgy. Washington, Surigao City by virtue of Alias Warrant of Arrest charged for Murder docketed under Criminal Case No. 11512 dated January 12, 2017 issued by Hon. Cesar P. Bordalba, Presiding Judge of RTC, Branch 30, Surigao City with no bail recommended.

The arresting Police Officers duly presented the aforesaid Alias Warrant of Arrest and informed his Constitutional Rights under the Miranda Doctrine and Anti-Torture Law. Subject accused is now under the custody of Surigao City Police Station for documentation and proper disposition from the issuing court.

Accomplishment on Illegal Logging

SURIGAO DEL NORTE POLICE PROVINCIAL OFFICE

Juniel C. Luego, male, 46 years old, male, married, Election Asst. II in General Luna, SDN, and a resident of Brgy. Maasin, Pilar, Surigao del Norte came to Pilar Municipal Police Station on February 17, 2020 at 3:00PM to report that  their trees that had been raised for a long time was allegedly cut and stolen  by Christian Coñado, alias “Ongas”, male, legal age, married; Rito Coñado, male, legal age, married; and Lucio Coñado, male, legal age, and all residents of Brgy. Maasin, Pilar, Surigao del Norte and was sold to Brian Ebrano Sr., male, legal age, and a resident of same barangay.

Upon receipt of information, personnel of Pilar Municipal Police Station immediately proceeded to the place of incident that resulted to the confiscation of 15 pieces sawn lumbers of specie locally known as “ANTE PUYO”  in different dimensions with an estimated volume of 68 board feet and estimated market value of Php 3,400.00. Said suspects already escaped upon the arrival of the responding officers in the area.

The confiscated lumbers were brought to Pilar Municipal Police Station for proper disposition and coordination to DENR-SIPLAS for filing of regular complaint against the suspects.

Hacking Incident

SURIGAO DEL NORTE POLICE PROVINCIAL OFFICE

Personnel of Surigao City Police Station received a phone call from the personnel of Caraga Regional Hospital on February 17, 2020 around 9:50 PM informing that there was a victim of non-fatal hacking incident treated thereat.

Acted upon receipt, personnel of Surigao City Police Station immediately proceeded to the said hospital. Victim later identified as Mr. Romeo Roxas Serna, 48 years old, male, married, dental technician, perpetrated by his neighbor named Pompen Romero, of legal age, married, jobless, and both residents of Purok-4, Barangay San Juan, Surigao City.

Investigation conducted revealed that the victim was from a wake vigil.  While he was in the drinking session with his friends near his residence, the suspect passed by who also believed to be under influence of liquor and provoke the victim “SUS PALPAK MAN TON IMO HINIMO NA NGIPON HAMOK NAG REKLAMO!. On that instance, the victim got irked, then an altercation ensued between them until the suspect uttered again “PATYON TA KAW!”.  The wife of the victim tries to pacify them and even advise the suspect to go home. However, the suspect returned and armed with a bladed weapon locally known as “sundang”, then hacked the victim once hitting on the right portion of his face. After the commission of the crime, the suspect fled headed to their residence while the victim rushed to Caraga Regional Hospital.

The responding police officers are now conducted manhunt operation against the suspect. Motive – Misunderstanding.
