Campaign Against Illegal Gambling

On June 7, 2020 at around 1:10PM, personnel of San Francisco MPS under the close supervision of PCPT ARNOLD Y NACHOR, Officer In-Charge conducted operation against illegal cockfighting (tari-tari) in Purok 3 Barangay Banbanon, San Francisco, Surigao del Norte which resulted in the arrest of Porferio Daplin Jacob, 55 years old, male, married, Jobless of Purok-3, Barangay Banbanon, San Francisco, Surigao Del Norte.

Confiscated during the operation were two (2) live fighting cocks, one (1) wounded fighting cock, two (2) gaffer and seven hundred fifty (Php750.00) bill bet money.

The arrested persons were informed of their rights under the Miranda Warning and Anti-Torture Act and now under the custody of San Francisco Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.

Apprehension of Suspect for Disobedience to an Agent of Person in Authority in relation with the Implementation of EO-37 (Mandatory Home Quarantine)

On June 7, 2020 around 7:25PM, PSSg Jerlon M Bolonia and PSSg Junelou G Cortes, station-alert personnel Surigao City PS brought the arrested suspect named Jeric Manigo Orocio, 26 years, married, electrician, and resident of Purok-8, Brgy. Canlanipa, Surigao City for Violation of   Article 151 (Disobedience to an Agent of a Person in Authority of the RPC) in relation with the Implementation of Executive Order No. 37 Series of 2020 (Mandatory Home Quarantine) that transpired around 7:15PM of the same date in Navarro corner Espina Streets,  Barangay Taft, Surigao City.

The said patrol officers were conducting checkpoint in the aforesaid place when the suspect, believed to be under influence of liquor, disregarded the checkpoint and passed through it. Suspect failed to present pertinent documents of his motorcycle, failed to present Quarantine Identification and face mask. During the apprehension, the said suspect resisted and disobeyed them and even uttered “JAWA MO NA PULIS! MOOLI NA TANA KO IJO KO GIPARA!”.

Suspect was informed of his Constitutional Rights as construed in the Miranda Doctrine and Anti-Torture Act and the nature of their arrest to the language known and understood by him. Suspect was brought to Surigao City Police Station for documentation and for filing of appropriate case.
