Press Release – July 28, 2020 Campaign Against Wanted Person

On July 27, 2020 at about 5:10PM in Purok 4, Brgy. Gacepan, Sison, Surigao del Norte, personnel of Sison MPS led by PCPT GIOVANNI M TINDOY, arrested a certain GILBERT  AYDAO BALUCA, 32 years old, single, CAFGU member, and a resident of the aforesaid place by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued by Hon. Jacqueline J. Ongpauco,  Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, Branch 29, Surigao City dated June 5, 2020.

Accused is wanted for violation of RA 9262 (Violence of Women and Children) docketed under Criminal Case Nr. 14903 with a recommended bail bond of Thirty Six Thousand Pesos (Php36,000) and he is now under temporary custody of Sison MPS pending for the issuance of commitment order from the issuing court.

Press Release – July 28, 2020 Apprehension of Suspects for Violation of Executive Order 40 (Curfew Hours) and Violation of RA No.6539 (Car napping) and RA No. 11332

On July 27, 2020 around 10:00AM, Mr. Dino Pigaro Patiga, 23 years old, single, self-employed, and resident of Purok 5, Sitio Panubigon, Barangay Lipata, Surigao City appeared before Surigao City PS and reported that around 8:00AM of the same date,  his black Motoposh motorcycle registered under CR number 181893178, OR Number 488163839 with engine number 161FMJII2D000386 and Chassis Number LB415pc77dc000526 recently bought from the registered owner Baron Bacur of Purok 5, Sitio Panubigon, Barangay Lipata, Surigao City valued to P15,000.00 was missing while parked in front of his residence.


Around 10:15 AM of the same date, the Barangay Officials and Tanods of Barangay Mapawa, Surigao City appeared in Surigao City PS informing that around 4:00AM of the same date, they accosted two male individuals for Violation of EO 40 (Curfew Hours) who were riding motorcycle roaming in their barangay without pertinent documents.

Theft and Robbery Unit of Surigao City PS immediately proceeded to the aforementioned place reported by the Barangay Officials and Tanods.  Upon inspection of the said motorcycle, it matched to the description of the reported missing motorcycle and repainted to color gold.  Suspects were later identified as Jemuel Sarmiento Magallon, male, 20 years old, single, jobless, and resident of Purok 6, Barangay Mapawa, Surigao City and Billy Garcia, 20 years old, male, single, jobless, and resident of Purok 8, Sitio Guizo, Barangay Capalayan, Surigao City.

During their arrest, suspects were informed of their Constitutional Rights as construed in the Miranda Doctrine and the Anti-Torture Act and of the nature of their arrest in a language known to them and were brought to Surigao City PS for documentation. A case for Violation of EO 40 (Curfew Hours), Violation of R.A. No. 6539 (Carnapping) and R.A. No. 11332 against the suspects is being prepared for filing
