Press Release – July 14, 2020 Arrest of Raquel Gorgod Madrid for Violation of RA 9165

On July 13, 2020 at around 10:35PM, Personnel of Surigao Del Norte PPO DEU conducted Buy-bust Operation at P-Mespa, Espina Street, Barangay Taft, Surigao City that resulted to the arrest of Raquel Gorgod Madrid, A.k.a. “Neneng” 40 years old, female, jobless, married and resident of P-Mespa, Espina Street, Barangay Taft, Surigao City. Said suspect was a newly identified illegal drug personality and considered as Street Level Individual (SLI). The arrested person was informed of her Constitutional Rights under the Miranda Doctrine and the Anti-Torture Law upon her arrest.

Confiscated items from the possession and control of suspect were listed as follows:

  1. Two (2) plastic sachets of suspected Shabu bought by the poseur-buyer from the arrested suspect with an estimated weight of more or less .5 grams and two (2 ) plastic sachets of suspected shabu from her possession with an estimated weight of more or less 1.5 grams with Street Price Value (SPV) of Seventeen Thousand  Seven Hundred Pesos (Php17,700) @ (11,800.00) per gram;
  2. One (1) piece One Thousand peso bill with serial # QT397264 marked money;
  3. One unit cellphone Nokia “Key pad Type” color black; and
  4. Small Plastic sachets (empty).

The body search on the arrested suspect mentioned was done in an orderly manner and duly witnessed by Hon. Joselito J. Eviota, Brgy Kagawad of Brgy Taft, Surigao City, Mr. Jerson Galotera, Media Representative (DXRS Radio Station) and Mr. Vladimir L Ensomo, DOJ representative, Surigao City Prosecutor Office.

Cases for violation of Sections 5 and 11 of Article 2 of R.A. 9165 were being prepared for filling in court against the aforementioned arrested suspect.

The suspect is now temporarily detained in custodial facility of Surigao City Police Station for proper disposition.

Press Release – July 14, 2020 Arrest of KARL REMLIE LOZADA SUBAYNO aka “REMLIE” for Violation of R.A. 9165

On July 14, 2020 around 12:03 AM in Brgy. 3, Poblacion, General Luna, Surigao del Norte, personnel of General Luna MPS led by PCPT WISE VICENTE B PANUELOS COP, conducted buy-bust operation that resulted in the arrest of KARL REMLIE LOZADA SUBAYNO aka “REMLIE”, 32 years old, Single, male, Filipino, Tour guide, and a resident of Brgy. 3 Poblacion, General Luna, SDN. Subject person is a newly identified illegal drug personality of General Luna MPS and same considered as Street Level Individual (SLI). The arrested person was informed of his Constitutional Rights under the Miranda Doctrine and the Anti-Torture Law upon his arrest.

Confiscated items from the possession and control of suspect were listed as follows:

  1. One Elongated transparent heat sealed sachet containing of white powder believed to be Cocaine marked BCN with signature (subject of sale) estimate weight of MOL 1 gram and street price value of Ten Thousand pesos (10,000.00) @ (Php 10,000) per gram;
  2. One genuine one thousand peso bill mark money with serial number RYO44321 and ten (10) boodle money marked as GLPS1 recovered from the right front pocket of the suspect’s short;
  3. Voters ID of the suspect marked as GLPS 2;
  4. One pieces Huawei black cell phone marked as GLPS3;
  5. One white disposable lighter marked as GLPS4; and
  6. Four Thousand Eight hundred Forty Five Pesos (P4,845.00) in different denomination marked as GLPS5.

Body searched was done in an orderly manner and duly witnessed by Jay Uy, DOJ representative, Hon. Roel F. Oraliza, Barangay Captain Barangay 3, General Luna, Surigao del Norte, and Roel N. Catuto media representative. Suspect is now temporarily detained at General Luna Municipal Police Station.

A case for violation of Section 5 and Article II, of RA 9165 was being prepared for filing in court against the mentioned arrested suspect.

Press Release – July 14, 2020 Arrest Campaign Against Illegal Fishing

On July 13, 2020 around 5:30AM, information received from a concern citizen of Barangay Pacifico, San Isidro, Surigao del Norte, informing San Isidro MPS that there was an illegal fishing activity that transpired at the sea water of Barangay Pacifico San Isidro, SDN. Immediately, personnel of San Isidro MPS proceeded to the said place to conduct investigation. Upon arrival at about 6:00AM of same date the report was confirmed affirmative, suspects were caught in the act while conducting illegal fishing activity. The arrested suspect were identified namely: Paaron Espinal Golde, 61 years old, married, fisherman; and Johny Espinal Concha, 39 years old, married, fisherman, both residents of Purok-4 Brgy. Del Carmen (Pob), San Isidro, Surigao del Norte.

The arrested suspects were informed of their constitutional rights under the Miranda Warning and Anti-Torture Act.

Confiscated from the possession of the suspects were:

  1. one fishing net locally known as “Lampornas” more or less 35 meters long;
  2. 2kls more or less of parrot fish (Bontog) estimated value of Php300; and
  3. 2 pcs. improvised sea goggles.

Suspects and confiscated items are now under the custody of San Isidro MPS for the filing of Violation of Municipal Ordinance No. 2015-01, Municipal Fisheries Code under Art IX, Section 119, (used of fine meshed net).

Press Release – July, 2020 Arrest Campaign against Wanted Person

On July 13, 2020 around 11:00AM in P-Roses, Brgy. Magsaysay, Matin-ao, Mainit, SDN, PNP personnel of Mainit MPS conducted operation that resulted in the arrest of Rosalie “Daday” Paniamogan Bagaipo, Female, married, 45 years old, businesswoman and resident of P-Masipag, Brgy. Matin-ao, Mainit, Surigao del Norte by virtue of Warrant of Arrest dated June 18, 2020, issued by the Presiding Judge Hon. Eden Crispy B. Lasala-Caballes of MTCC, Branch 1, Surigao City. Subject was informed of her rights under the Miranda Warning and Anti-Torture during the arrest.

The arrested person is wanted for Estafa under Article 315. Par. 1 (B) docketed under Criminal Case Number 20-19513 with recommended bail of Eighteen Thousand Pesos (P 18,000.00). Subject person is in custody of Mainit MPS for proper disposition.

Press Release – July 14, 2020 Campaign against Wanted Person

On July 13, 2020 around 3:00PM, in Brgy. Don Paulino, Dapa, Surigao del Norte, Dapa MPS. Personnel of Dapa MPS arrested Temestoclis Solis Gemparo, 33 years old, male, single, surfing instructor and resident of Brgy. Don Paulino, Dapa, Surigao del Norte by virtue of Warrant of Arrest dated July 6, 2020 issued by Presiding Judge Hon. Cesar P. Bordalba, of Regional Trial Court, 10th Judicial Region, Branch 31, Dapa, Surigao del Norte. Subject was informed of his rights under Miranda Warning and Anti-Torture Act during the arrest.

The arrested person is wanted for Qualified Theft under Criminal Case numbers 20-56, 20-57 and 20-58 with recommended bail of Forty Thousand Pesos (P 40,000.00) each criminal case numbers for his provisional liberty. Subject is in the custody of Dapa MPS for proper disposition.

Press Release – July 14, 2020 Apprehension of Suspect for Alarms and Scandals and Disobedience to a Person in Authority

On July 13, 2020 around 6:00PM, Barangay Captain Leo Gorgod Palero and Barangay Kagawad Darius Deloy Dela Cruz of Barangay Mabua, Surigao City brought the arrested suspect named Chrisnel Somorostro Silos, 24 years old, single, fisherman, and resident of Purok-1, Barangay Mabua, Surigao City for the crime of Alarms and Scandals and Disobedience to a Person in Authority that happened on July 13, 2020 around 5:00PM in Purok-1, Barangay Mabua, Surigao City.

The aforesaid suspect was caught in flagrante doing scandalous act and believed to be under the influence of intoxicating liquor that caused an alarm to the public. Further, he already has numerous complaints in their barangay every time he was drunk.

During the arrest, the suspect resisted and even tried to harm the said barangay officials. He was later brought to Surigao City Police Station for documentation and filing of criminal complaint. He was informed of his Constitutional Rights as construed in the Miranda Doctrine and Anti-Torture Law and the nature of his arrest to the language known by him.
